Andy Hogue, Austin, and Todd Steinberg (’98, ’00 M.A.), Dallas :: are on the team that created the animated sitcom Don’t Tell My Wife I’m a Cult Leader, which premiered at the Kessler Theater in North Oak Cliff in September. The cartoon co-developed with Matt Rox follows Floyd Landers, a cult leader dealing with devoted followers, an unsuspecting wife and a suspicious Texas town. Regional talent and crew worked on the 25-minute pilot, and the creators celebrated the premiere with a reception, art show, screening, Q&A session and live music. Sinister-looking drink packets served as invitations to the event.
