POKER TOURNAMENT
A Texas Hold ’Em Poker Tournament kicked off Homecoming festivities with 100 students, alumni and staff joining in the action at Victory Hall.

SPIRIT MARCH AND BONFIRE
The annual spirit march began at Fraternity Row on Maple Street and proceeded to the bonfire site near the Mean Green Athletics Complex on Bonnie Brae. Though a burn ban prevented the lighting of the fire this year, spirits ran high at the annual yell contest.

RIBBON-CUTTING/GROUNDBREAKING
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the opening of the Waranch Tennis Complex at Bonnie Brae and Walt Parker Drive.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Chestnut Hall at the corner of Chestnut Street and Avenue D. The new building will include a health and wellness center, counseling and testing services and a career center.

PARADE
This year we got a bird’s-eye view of the annual Homecoming parade as it rounded the Denton town square.
