Jerelyn Taylor, Houston, has been producer and public relations director for Houston cable television station HCCTV. Taylor has produced "Author Showcase," a series of interviews with local, national and international authors, and also writes promotional materials for profit and nonprofit organizations.

Kay King, Houston, received the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge National Award during a ceremony sponsored by the Houston chapter of the foundation. The award recognizes exceptional efforts to promote an understanding of responsible citizenship and the benefits of a free society. King is chair of the fashion and interior design department in the Houston Community College System and is active in the community.
