Coach Harley Redin's
professional accomplishments:

  • Served on the U.S. Olympic Committee
  • Served on the National Women's Basketball Committee
  • Served many years on the AAU Rules Committee
  • Served as a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame board of directors
  • Wrote two basketball books: A Basketball Guide for Girls and The Queens Fly High

 

   

Honors:

In addition to being named one of the 50 greatest Texas sports figures of the 20th century by Sports Illustrated and being inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inaugural class, Redin has been honored with:Redin
  • An annual Harley Redin Alumni Coach of the Year Award given by Wayland Baptist University since 1999
  • The 1992 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Jostens Service Award for making a significant impact on women's basketball
  • Induction into the Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame in 1981
