Pat Reeder, Dallas, and longtime radio partner George Gimarc (’80), Rockwall, have taken their 1996 book about outrageous celebrity records into the Internet age with its own web site. They met at UNT while doing the KNTU Morning Show.

Mark Terry (M.Ed.), Grapevine, is principal of Carroll ISD’s Eubanks Intermediate School in Southlake. In 2007, he was named to the foundation board of the National Association of Elementary School Principals for a three-year term. He served as president of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association in 2005-06.

Lee Harper, Fort Worth, has started three online companies. His second company, the Texas Tamale Warehouse, shipped more than 1,000 orders during the 2007 holiday season.

Alan B. Partain, Leesburg, Va., is the author of The Art of Persuasive Selling, which includes techniques he gathered in 17 years of sales leadership with Pfizer Inc. He owns Integrity Business Solutions LLC, an independent sales leadership consulting company, and is director of sales and curriculum development for the Enterprise Platform Division of DLT Solutions Inc.

Mark R. Hansen (D.M.A.), Boise, Idaho, was appointed professor and chair of music at Boise State University. Previously, he served in administrative roles in music at Gettysburg College and Western Illinois University and as director of general education at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Alisa Johnson (’92 M.P.A.), Fort Worth, was named director of graduate recruiting in the office of graduate services at the University of Texas at Arlington. She previously served as director of graduate services in the UT-Arlington College of Business Administration and has been involved in graduate recruiting and advising. She welcomes messages from UNT friends at alisa@uta.edu.

Tony New (’96 M.S.), Dallas, and his dance partner took first place in the Couples Diamond Newcomer division at the 2008 United Country Western Dance Council World Championship of Country Western Dance in January. This is his third world championship title — he took first place in the Line Dance Male Newcomer open and crystal divisions in 2007.

Richard A. Giddens, Sanger, who teaches at the TAG Magnet High School in Dallas, was recognized for three years as having the strongest Advanced Placement human geography course in the world for schools with less than 300 students. The school has been ranked the last two years as the best high school in America by Newsweek magazine.

David G. Rudduck, Chicago, Ill., was appointed press secretary for Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich of Illinois this year. He received his degree in political science from UNT and says he owes a lot to the school for where he is now. Previously, he served as regional director of communication and government relations for the American Red Cross. He was a senior communication attaché for George Pataki, Rudy Giuliani, Elizabeth Dole, George Mitchell and Jeb Bush and served as a rapid response team leader and chief public affairs officer for the World Trade Center attacks and Hurricane Katrina.
