Kay Peel McKee, San Saba, was awarded the Valley Forge Medal of Honor certificate and medal for her teaching of patriotism and loyalty in San Saba High School and surrounding schools. She taught there for 41 years before retiring in 1977. She also taught night adult conversation classes and attended La Universidad Internacional de Madrid for three summers.
