Paula Snelling Wilbanks (’72 M.Ed.), Denton, was inducted into the Grapevine High School 2005 Hall of Fame as a distinguished faculty member at the school’s annual Homecoming reception. She also participated in the parade and was presented a plaque from the Ex-Students Association during pre-game ceremonies. She worked for the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for 27 years, primarily as an English teacher and school counselor at Grapevine High School, before retiring in 2003.

Mary Lou Cook Veal (’77 M.Ed.), Murfreesboro, Tenn., is professor of health and human performance at Middle Tennessee State University. She is the physical education area coordinator for the department and is writing the curriculum for a new Ph.D. concentration in physical education pedagogy. She is also revising the master’s degree in teaching physical education. She earned her doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University.

George W. Douglass III (M.B.A.), Plano, is vice president of the water division at Datamatic Ltd. He worked previously at the Thomas Group, a management consulting firm, and has served as vice president of national accounts for Candle Corp. and as executive director at Boole and Babbage.

Joia Jitahidi, Austin, published a book in 2004 titled Intuitive Management: Creating an Inspired Workforce. She focuses on intuition as a quality of inspiration in the workplace.

Shirley Grubbs Latham (’71 M.M.), Richardson, celebrated her 30th anniversary as organist of the First Presbyterian Church of Richardson by giving a recital in August. She is also a freelance accompanist in the area. She is married to Bill Latham (’69), who works in technical support for Lennox Industries.
