Tom Dale
(M.M.E.), Nampa, Idaho, has been elected mayor of Nampa, the second
largest city in Idaho, after teaching high school music for
a number of years. He continues to play trombone and sing in High
Street, a swing band.
'83
Victoria Harris (Ed.D.),
Nashville, Tenn., has been named director of education for the Comprehensive
Care Center in Nashville, one of the largest HIV/AIDS treatment
facilities in the country. Harris,
a Vanderbilt University Medical Center faculty associate in medicine,
will direct the center's training and education of doctors,
nurses and other health-care workers who treat patients with HIV/AIDS.

Henderson Robison,
Hickory, N.C., was one of five North Carolina teachers awarded
the title "North
Carolina Character Educator of the Year"
by the Keenan Institute
at Duke University in 2002. She was also named the Wachovia/First
Union Elementary Teacher of the Year in Catawba County and recognized
as the Humane Society of Catawba County Volunteer of the Year
in 2002. An elementary music teacher, she initiated a project called
"Singing for the Animals," in which her students' singing efforts
raised more than $4,000 for the Humane Society in three weeks.

Casey Shaw,
Arlington, Va., received a national Clarion Award for editorial
cartoons. Shaw is the creative director and cartoonist for USA
Weekend Magazine. He and his wife, Lauren

live in the Washington, D.C., area with their 5-year-old son, Cooper.

Richard Baskin ('89
M.A.), Harriman, Tenn., was named the director of the Learning
Center at Roane State Community College.

Allen Fowler,
Dallas, and her husband, John, announce the birth of their second
child, Lilly Elizabeth, on Sept. 24.
Raul
I. Rodriguez ('92
M.M.), New Braunfels, is associate professor of tuba and euphonium
at Southwest Texas State University. He performs
with the SouthWest Brass Works and most recently was appointed
principal tubist of the Texas Philharmonic, which recorded the
music score for the movie
Spy Kids 2: The Island
of Lost Dreams.

Roberta Stephen (M.A.),
Calgary, Alberta, was recognized in November by the Canadian Music Centre for
her work as a composer, music publisher, singer, teacher and prime organizer
in the field
of music in Calgary. A banquet and performance were held in the Rosza Centre
at the University of Calgary.

Cathy R. Dudley (M.S.),
Austin, recently moved back to Texas and is working at the Vinson & Elkins
law library. She says she would love to hear
from old friends at crdudley@poetic.com.

Sheehan Jamen ('96),
Bedford, N.H., celebrated the birth of their first child, Carolan
Grace,
in October. Jon is vice president of Fidelity Investments and
Lisa was a senior technical writer for Oracle Corp. before becoming
a stay-at-home mom.
