Oklahoma City, has retired from
the faculty of the Margaret E. Petree School of Music at Oklahoma
City University after 35 years of service.

Linda
Woods Maxey,
Lawrence, Kan., received an honorary doctorate from the Lithuanian
Music Academy in April 2002, where she hosted the International
Percussion Festival. She presented a series of
master classes at the Estonian Music Academy in Tallinn and taught
at the Latvian Music Academy in Riga. She also taught master classes
at several U.S. universities in the spring and was a guest artist
with the University of Wisconsin Percussion Ensemble in December.

LaVonne Russell,
Houston, formerly Gloria LaVonne Street, was named president of
the Houston Genealogical Forum for 2002-03 and is director of the
National Grigsby Family Society for 2001-04. She is a former teacher,
legal secretary and law firm office administrator.

'Jim' Montgomery,
The Woodlands, has been named one of the national sales managers
at MeadWestvaco, a forest products company. Previously a resident
of St. Charles, Ill., and Beaumont, he now lives with his wife,
Carolyn,
in The Woodlands and is the "proud grandpa" of
Reagan.
