Norva Andrews Loyd, San
Antonio, received her third Meritorious Civilian Service Medal from
the Air Force Material Command. She also has been named the 2000 Supervisor
of the Year for Kelly Air Force Base and was the San Antonio Air Logistics
Center recipient of the Loos Leadership Award from the Alamo Chapter
of the Air Force Association.

Mary ‘Windy’ Sitton,
Lubbock, has been re-elected for a third term as Lubbock’s mayor.

Keith G. Galitz,
Lake Oswego, Ore., was named president for Oregon markets for the
Advanced TelCom Group. He previously held senior management positions
at Qwest/US West, most recently as general manager of the western
region wholesale division. He began his telecommunications career
at Mountain Bell as an attorney. Galitz received his juris doctor
from Baylor University in 1969 and also graduated from the Advanced
Management Program at Harvard University’s School of Business.

Joyce McClearin Curry,
Mineola, is serving as governor of the Texas District Pilot International
for 2000-01. Pilot International is a service organization that
focuses on brain disorders. Curry teaches fifth- and sixth-grade
social studies at Alba-Golden Elementary School.

R. Durham, Dallas,
is a project manager for Sealy & Co., a Shreveport real estate firm.
He manages Mustang Creek Business Parks in Forney.
John
R. Howie, Dallas,
received the Merrill L. Hartman Award during the fifth annual Equal
Justice Awards Reception hosted by Legal Services of North Texas.
Howie was recognized for his financial and volunteer support for
the provision of legal services to the poor in Dallas.
