William P. Latham Jr. (’70, ’71 M.S., ’76 Ph.D.), Dallas :: He was an Air Force civilian research scientist at the Kirkland Air Force Base Research Lab in Albuquerque, N.M., and worked as the project lead and supervisor for the Strategic Defense Initiative. He also conducted laser optics research. He was a fellow of the Directed Energy Professional Society and of the International Society for Optical Engineering and Laser Institute of America. He played soccer at North Texas and was an Emeritus Referee for the National Soccer League. Donations can be made to UNT soccer team.
