Travis A. Cox (’65), Springfield, Mo. :: He taught violin at Abilene Christian University, Stephen F. Austin University, David Lipscomb University and Harding University. He served as an assistant concertmaster of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. He played violin with the Arkansas Symphony, Ft. Smith Symphony, Delta Symphony and the Magnolia Symphony Orchestra before his retirement. He attended UNT from 1964 to 1965 after earning a master’s degree in music from Southern Methodist University. Before graduating with his bachelor’s degree from De Paul University, he studied oboe at the U.S. Navy School of Music, where he played in the Great Lakes Navy Band.
