Larry Earl Adams (’80 Ph.D.), Hurst :: He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. His dissertation focused on Civil War Reconstruction in Texas. An avid reader of Texas history, he served as head of the history department at El Paso Community College for more than 35 years. He was the expert consultant for the city of El Paso during the Texas sesquicentennial in 1986.
