James R. Dobbins (’59), Oak Harbor, Washington. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon at North Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s in mathematics. After graduating, he served in the National Guard and the U.S. Navy and traveled the world as a C-130 navigator and instructor. He also learned computer programming and worked for D&M Consulting, SWIFT, Urgeo Software, GBA International and MicroEnhancements Inc. before retiring in 2001. A golfer and member of a boating club, he enjoyed crabbing, cultivating oysters and playing bridge.
