Frances Pruitt Ashworth (’38), Canton :: She earned her degree in home economics and was a Green Jacket. She taught elementary school in Edom before serving with the Farm Security Administration during World War II in Groveton, Crockett and Paris. She later taught in Mineola. After retiring, she tutored students in ESL and was active in her church and in a VanZandt County home demonstration club.
