Bill Utter, 74, of Argyle, an establishing donor of UNT’s Bill and Monica Utter Family Endowed Athletic Scholarship, died Jan. 16, 2026. He was a member of the Chilton Recognition Society. After attending Denton High School, Bill graduated from Southern Methodist University in May 1974 and was dedicated to serving his community by continuing his father’s automobile dealership, Bill Utter Ford. He was an active member of the Denton Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Automobile Dealers Association. He was an avid sports fan.
