Terry Scholar Zehra Hussain, a sophomore political science major, is pursuing her dream to work in the medical field. A UNT Honors College student and medical anthropology minor, she is taking courses to prepare her for physician assistant training she plans to complete while earning a master's degree in public health.
This spring, she was one of seven students chosen to participate in Parkland Hospital's Auxiliary Collegiate Fellows Program, which provides paid internships for students to learn about hospital management. She hopes to work for the World Health Organization or another organization that provides medical aid internationally, after gaining experience by working for a healthcare organization in the U.S.
