Several events are planned on the UNT campus and in Oklahoma City to support the Mean Green men’s basketball team as they take on Kansas State Thursday, March 18, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the first round of the West region of the NCAA Tournament.
 
Tuesday: Campus send off  at 3:50 p.m.
Head Coach Johnny Jones and Mean Green Basketball depart for Oklahoma City and NCAA Tournament play on Tuesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. from the Super Pit.  The university and greater Denton community are invited to gather near the North Tunnel of the Super Pit along Highland Boulevard to encourage the team as they depart.
 
NCAA Tournament reception at Oklahoma City Marriott
Join the Mean Green Nation at the Oklahoma City Marriott for a Wednesday evening reception, March 17, hosted by University Advancement, the University Alumni Association and North Texas Athletics.  Russell’s Bar located in the Oklahoma City Marriott will welcome Mean Green fans from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include a Mean Green Radio Network Live Coaches Show at 7 p.m. featuring head coach Jonny Jones and various players. The Oklahoma City Marriott is located at 3233 Northwest Expressway. 
 
Mean Green game day team send off – Thursday 12:00 p.m.
Join North Texas Spirit Groups Thursday, March 18, at noon and rally the Mean Green as the team departs from the Oklahoma City Marriott on its way to Ford Center to challenge Kansas State on Thursday. The game will be at approximately 2:30 p.m.

North Texas Athletic Ticket office will call will be open in the lobby at Oklahoma City Marriott on Wednesday, March 17, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., and again from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.  Will call will be open at the Ford Center at the main box office on Gaylord Boulevard on the East side of the arena beginning 1 hour and 30 minutes before first game tip-off of each session. On Thursday, March 18, the Ford Center will call opens at approximately 9:50am.
