Greg Watts began his new role as dean of the College of Visual Arts and Design in August. Previously chair of the art department at Metropolitan State University of Denver, he led the department to accreditation, helped create bachelor's degrees in studio art and art history/critical theory and a minor in digital media, and helped implement the first online and hybrid course offerings. His artwork has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and he is a consultant and legal expert in photography and photographic evaluation.
Watts, who earned an M.B.A. and two art degrees, will help UNT students master the business and economics of art and design.
