Through their rhetorical prowess and thoughtful arguments, seniors Garrett Hammonds and Abron Hester, members of the UNT Debate Team, won the 2016 Fall Texas Intercollegiate Forensic Association Championship Tournament. Hammonds, a communication studies and political science major, and Hester, a political science major, won by arguing the opposition for the topic "The United States should make Election Day a national holiday."
