Throwback: Students line up to register for classes in 1971. Alumni, this is your chance to tell us how easy things are today!
I met one of my "bestest friends" of my whole life waiting in line to sign up for PE in the 1980s.

That darn PE class always messed everything up. Finally got to where I'd just walk up to that table and ask what was left. Ended up one spring signed up for 8 a.m. soccer and softball. Ugh! But what memories that grow sweeter each year.

Hundreds of us stood in line outside the small, old library to register. ... I even had my guitar confiscated by the red-headed dean of women who said instruments weren't allowed in dorm rooms! Really? In a school known for its music! Good memories, just the same.
— Mary Lenamon Gibson ('70)
All I remember about class registrations were the "Show Yellow Top Card" signs everywhere. That Yellow Top Card seemed to be the most important item, from 1962 to 1966!
