Talon, a high-performance computing system — with 200 terabytes of storage and an operating speed of 20 teraflops —  is expanding UNT's reach in computation-based research. The supercomputer allows researchers to perform complex calculations and work with large data sets to make discoveries in fields ranging from aeronautics and carbon sequestration to experimental music and art.
