Students in the College of Education’s superintendent certification program will benefit from a $1 million scholarship endowment from Don Buchholz (’52) and his Dallas-based Southwest Securities Inc.

The Southwest Securities Superintendent Certification Scholarship will reimburse students half of their tuition once they successfully complete their course work. The gift coincides with the expansion of the superintendent certification program to provide professional development at satellite locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

Buchholz is a member of the UNT System Board of Regents.
