Therese Powell (M.A.), Dallas worked as a producer on a KERA-TV documentary series honored with two 2009 Lone Star Emmys. The “High Hopes” segment of Nowhere But Texas 2 won the Texas Heritage – Program Feature/Segment Award, and the series’ “Mighty Mites” segment won the Texas Heritage – Program/Special Award. The awards are presented annually by the Lone Star chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
