Steven Pettit, is passing on his love for Mean Green athletics to son Cannon, 7. They attended the Feb. 26 basketball game. “He loved painting his face,” he says. “Hours later, Cannon, was doing snow angels in the confetti after the Mean Green had clinched the conference title.” Steven, who was profiled in our Tenacity Takes Root story in 2019, is doing well after his diagnosis of Stage IV esophageal cancer at the age of 39.
