Shingi Mutasa

Shingi Mutasa, New York, N.Y. became part of Teach for America’s 2011 teaching corps, joining 9,300 other corps members teaching in high-need public schools around the country. After three years in the corporate world, Shingi is teaching ninth-grade algebra at Williamsburg Prep High School in Brooklyn and says, “I couldn’t be prouder of my students, who are so capable and are working hard every day. In their faces, I see so many future members of the college class of 2018!”
