Shannon Pugh

SHANNON PUGH (M.Ed.), Glen Burnie, Maryland, was elected vice president for the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and will assume the presidency in 2022. NCSS is the largest social studies educator organization in the U.S. In 2018, Shannon earned a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Maryland and currently works as the manager of academics and assessments in the division of curriculum and instruction for Anne Arundel County Public Schools in Annapolis, Maryland.
