Scott Chapman

Scott Chapman (Ph.D.), San Antonio professor of mathematics and scholar-in-residence at Sam Houston State University, was selected by the Mathematical Association of America to be editor-in-chief of the most widely read mathematics journal in the world, The American Mathematical Monthly. He was named after a national search to a five-year term that will begin Jan. 1, 2012, and is currently editor-elect. He joined Sam Houston State in 2008 after teaching at Trinity University in San Antonio for 21 years.
