Sarah Treanor

Sarah Treanor, Akron, Ohio, hosted a solo exhibition of her series “Still, Life: A Photographic Journey Through Grief,” a series in response to the sudden death of her fiancé in 2012, in March-April at Up Front Art Space, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In 20 black-and-white pictures and excerpts from her journal, Treanor uses metaphors and symbolism to capture common themes of loss, as well as fragility, despair, hope and inner strength.
