Roy Metzler

Roy Metzler ('82), Denton was inducted into the UNT Family Business Hall of Fame in November. His family has operated Metzler’s Food and Beverage, which boasts two locations in Denton, since the 1980s, and he also owns a commercial beverage distribution company. He is a lifetime member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and a member of the Mean Green Club. He also was an early supporter of the Murphy Enterprise Center and Family Business Initiative. He is president of the board of directors of the Monsignor King Outreach Center, which provides emergency assistance to the homeless during inclement weather. In 1998, he was recognized by the Denton Chamber of Commerce as the Small-Business Person of the Year. The College of Business has inducted alumni into its Family Business Hall of Fame since 2015.
