Richard Miller

Richard Miller ('84 M.Ed.), Uniontown, Pa. is the arranger and composer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543 Band, which played the opening ceremony and concert at the 116th National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in July in Pittsburgh. The 70-member band, which includes 20 high school students, plays at community concerts, events and veteran ceremonies. He has been conducting and arranging the band since his retirement from public school teaching in 2011. At North Texas, he served as chief music arranger for the UNT Marching Band from 1977 to 1993.
