Michael Don Fraser (M.S.), Henderson, Nevada, retired as book and paper conservator at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas after 23 years at UNLV Special Collections and Archives and 40 years in the library profession, earning the title of faculty emeritus. In his years at the Preservation Lab and Special Collections, he helped secure a $75,000 Library Services and Technology Act grant to update specialized equipment. He also received the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists, where he served as president from 2009 to 2010. There he developed a new marketing plan for the organization and helped create the annual CIMA Awards.
