Matt Jaremko, Dallas :: has co-written the book Trauma Recovery: Sessions With Dr. Matt (Ayni Books/John Hunt Publishing), which was published in December 2018. Matt, who has 35 years of clinical experience as a psychologist, co-wrote the book with Beth Fehlbaum, a patient who survived childhood sexual abuse. The book is a fictionalized account of their collaboration and explains the cognitive-behavioral science of PTSD and its treatment. His work with Vietnam veterans led him to study PTSD and he has treated patients in mental hospitals and orthopedic patients needing to learn how to cope with pain. In addition to writing 30 articles and conducting workshops, he also contributed to the book Stress Reduction and Prevention and wrote Cognitive-Behavioral Reflections on Some Dimensions of Personality. Now retired, Matt volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, builds furniture and plays golf.
