Marsha Prophet Daria (M.Ed.), Danbury, Conn. is working on a documentary examining the social relationships and identity of multiracial children. She says she is finding that “what used to be a marginalizing experience is now a symbol of pride” for the elementary through high school students she is interviewing. She is a professor and coordinator of elementary education at Western Connecticut State University, where she has taught since 1995. She previously served as an elementary school principal, a dean of instruction and a public school teacher in Texas.
