Mark Spicer

Mark Spicer (’90 M.M.), New Haven, Conn. is completing a three-year term as associate editor of Music Theory Spectrum, the flagship journal of the Society for Music Theory. He is a professor of music theory at Hunter College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York, specializing in the reception history and analysis of pop and rock music. In addition to his scholarship and teaching, he regularly performs as a keyboardist and vocalist with his “electric R&B group” the Bernadettes.
