Louis G. Pol (’71, ’73 M.A.), Waterloo, Nebraska, wrote the book Repurposed: Aging Well Through Humor, Resilience, Reflection, and Curiosity, a series of essays that examines how his life changed during retirement, giving him more time and freedom and a new sense of purpose. Louis, who studied sociology at North Texas, was a marketing professor and dean of the business school for the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He now spends his time writing, painting, cycling and traveling with his wife, Janet.
