Kimberly McDermid ('98), Atlanta, Ga. received a master’s degree in wildlife ecology and management from the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. Her graduate research focused on infectious pathogens in free-ranging African lions and the link between infectious agents and domestic animals, livestock and lions in Botswana. She returned to Botswana in May to help develop a large carnivore conservation strategy for the region.
