Keith Karns ('16 D.M.A.), Dallas and his big band released an album in October with tenor saxophonist Rich Perry thanks to a Kickstarter campaign. In 2012, the band recorded Thought and Memory. He has won the 2014 ASCAP and Jazz Education Network Young Composer’s Awards and several Downbeat Awards.
