Karen Walker

Karen Elledge Walker (’95 M.Ed., ’14 Ed.D.), Murphy was awarded the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children’s Teacher Educator of the Year award. She is a charter member of the Zeta Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma and earned degrees from UNT in finance and special education and a doctorate in early childhood education. She is in her second year of teaching at Texas A M University at Commerce and is the co-president of the Dallas Association for the Education of Young Children. She frequently presents at conferences around the state, nation and internationally, including presentations in London, England, and Nairobi, Kenya.
