Juan de León

Juan José de León, Corpus Christi :: is one of 38 singers chosen from more than 600 applicants to participate in Glimmerglas Opera’s Young American Artists Program, an internationally recognized apprentice program in New York. He received a master’s in vocal performance from Southern Methodist University in 2010. At UNT, Juan performed in Le Cendrillon, L’Egisto, Gianni Schicchi and Die Zauberflöte. After his apprenticeship, he is scheduled to make his professional debut as Benvolio in The Dallas Opera’s production of Roméo and Juliet.
