Joe Taylor

Joe Taylor (’66 M.Ed.), Overton :: retired in 2013 after 20 years of teaching and serving as a high school principal and more than 30 years of working in sales and private business. He made a national commercial — which also featured Felix Madrigal (’68), his North Texas roommate — for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama and it was shown on 52 stations across the nation. Taylor also was featured in a full-page ad for the trail. He now serves on the board of the Tyler Civic Theatre and co-produced Harvey last summer. He continues to play golf around the country — especially in Alabama — and enjoys time with his five children, 12 grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and their families.
