James Popejoy

James Popejoy (D.M.A.), Grand Forks, N.D. :: director of bands and professor of music at the University of North Dakota, was selected for the UND Faculty Award for Individual Excellence in Teaching for 2011-12 and was one of a select few to receive a second North Dakota Spirit Faculty Achievement Award during the four years the program was active. The UND Wind Ensemble he conducts was selected to present a featured performance at the 2012 Western International Band Clinic in Seattle this fall. He is vice president for the north central division of the College Band Directors National Association.
