David W. Martin (’71, ’75 M.S.), Denton, was inducted into the Halls of Fame of the Metroplex Senior Citizen Softball Association and USA Softball of Texas this year. David is a softball umpire with more than 45 years of experience who has donated his time and expertise to various groups, such as Texas Special Olympics. He continues to umpire softball and train and evaluate umpires. He remains the umpire-in-chief for the North Texas Umpire Association, based in Denton.
