Chelsea Wagennar

CHELSEA WAGENAAR (Ph.D.), Valparaiso, Indiana, released her second book of poems, The Spinning Place (Southern Indiana Review Press), which won the 2018 Michael Waters Poetry Prize. She is director of the writing center at Valparaiso University. She is married to Mark Wagenaar (’16 Ph.D.). Her favorite campus memory is running around campus. “My favorite memories of those runs are either running through campus late at night with my husband or, once my daughter was born, running with her in the jogging stroller to the fountain outside of the library,” she says.
