Amira de la Garza

Amira Gonzalez de la Garza, Phoenix, Ariz. received the Carolyn Helman Lichtenberg Crest Award for distinguished alumnae from the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. She is an associate professor in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University, where she teaches courses in performance studies, ethnography research methods and intercultural communication.
