Ballwin, Mo., was awarded an E. Desmond Lee Fellowship to pursue
a graduate certificate in museum studies and a master of arts degree
in history at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She and her
husband celebrated the birth of their daughter, Miranda Catherine,
in December 1999 and relocated from Houston to St. Louis in June
2000.
