Lisa Moorehead Lingo, Allen, who attended UNT from 1986 to 1990, is regional director for the Southwest U.S. sales operations of Genesys, a global collaboration and communication services provider. Prior to joining Genesys in March 2007, she was a top-ranked sales executive for Premiere Global Services.

*Janet Folmar Mash ('92 M.S.), Austin, and her husband, John, welcomed their third child, Brian Agustin, in March 2007. He joins Luke Kirby, born in 2002, and Bonnie Marie, born in 2004. Bonnie's godmother is Lori Franzke ('89), who was in Alpha Phi along with Janet.

Mark Pierson, Arlington, manages Hewlett-Packard Software's project management office for North and South America. Prior to joining HP Software, he worked for other global software companies such as Mercury Interactive and Indus International. At UNT, he was a Talon from 1987 to 1990.

Beth Ziesenis, San Diego, Calif., founded Avenue Z Writing Solutions in 2007. She quit her sales job to write for a living and to maintain a blog for small business owners titled Life on Avenue Z. She is a former North Texas Daily staff member.

*Randall M. Good, Denton, exhibited his work in "Way of the Cross: The Passion of the Christ in Art" in March at Blue Moon Gallery in Hot Springs, Ark. On display in the first of a series of exhibitions were his 14 stations of the cross, planned and painted over seven years as a commission in oils for a church memorial.

*Julie M. Fleischer Johnston ('02 M.P.A.), Frisco, is the city administrator for Dickinson. She previously was the Oak Point city manager for four years.

Melissa Ybarra-Jimenez, Arlington, was named the Newspaper in Education Exemplary Teacher of the Year for 2007-08 by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Alan Bickerstaff, Austin, joined the law firm of Andrews Kurth LLP as a corporate and securities partner in the Austin office. He is in the technology and emerging companies group and represents venture capital firms, investment banks, and public and private technology and emerging growth companies on general corporate and transactional matters. He lives in Austin with his wife, Shel, and 4-year old son, Lawson.

Elizabeth Espinosa, Richardson, is vice president of production for Signature Card Inc. The company provides plastic card materials for businesses, universities and private groups across the country.

Carrie Cauble Fortner, Austin, was named web master for the Travis County Sheriff's Office. She and her husband, Patrick, have two sons, Joseph, 10, and Daniel, 6.

Shelia Fox, Grand Prairie, opened her own law office in Arlington. She practices family, criminal, civil and immigration law.

Carol A. Murrow, Overland Park, Kan., joined Horton, Smith & Associates, a physician recruitment firm, as vice president in July. She has been involved in healthcare for the past 14 years.

Spiro G. Alexandrides, Keller, is the owner of Double Dave's Pizzaworks franchises in Euless and Keller. Previously, he worked in country clubs and hotels in various management capacities. He earned his bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management and says graduating from UNT was a "positively profound experience" that opened many career opportunities.

Bill Staples, Chandler, Ariz., is a board member for the Nisei Baseball Research Project, a nonprofit organization founded to preserve the history of Japanese American baseball. The project's long-term goal is to have a permanent exhibit for Japanese American baseball in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Rhoda Leister Byers, (M.S.), Wylie, has been employed with Plano Community Homes as campus administrator since 1996. She married Thomas Byers in May 2005 and has two daughters, Lyndsie, 4, and Peyton, 2.

Kristen Bess Brown, Kemp, says she is staying busy and diversified as manager and part owner of a Perpetual Care Cemetery in East Texas, a residential water company and a Merchant Services business. She married her business partner and "love of my life," Rick, and is "a happy stepmother to two great boys." The elder plans to attend UNT this fall.

Lisa L. Rollins, LaVergne, Tenn., director of special media projects for the Office of News and Public Affairs at Middle Tennessee State University, was named 2007 Business Adviser of the Year during the INROADS awards ceremony in July in Nashville. INROADS Inc. is a nonprofit organization that trains and develops talented youth from ethnic minorities for community leadership and professional careers in business and industry.

Amy Smith Scott, Tyler, and her husband, Jeff, announce the birth of a baby girl, Ashton Allyse, in September.

Kevin Starbuck, Amarillo, accepted the position of emergency management coordinator for the city of Amarillo, Potter County and Randall County.

Rebecca Rager Hery, Houston, and her husband, Dean, announce the birth of their third son, Nathaniel Robin Hery. Nate joined his 5-year-old twin brothers in May 2007. Rebecca is an elementary math teacher and her husband is part owner of a scientific refrigeration company.

Krista Villarreal Moore (M.B.A.) and Fred Moore, Pittsburgh, Pa., announce the birth of their first child, Abigail Elizabeth, born in September. She was 19 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Fred attended UNT in 1990 and 1991.

Sandra Nettles, Phoenix, a licensed clinical social worker with Deer Valley Counseling, was quoted in the Phoenix media numerous times last year, in print and on air. She commented on topics ranging from sex offenses to husbands doing more housework.

Michael Blankenship ('03 M.Ed.), Denton, was named principal at Gene Pike Middle School in Justin in September. He joined the Northwest ISD in 2006. He has served more than nine years in education as a teacher, coach and assistant principal in Haltom City and North Richland Hills.

Amy Lewis Hernandez, Fort Worth, was hired by the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD to lead the Truancy Intervention Program, which focuses on raising attendance percentages and lowering the number of dropouts. Previously, she was a truancy officer for four years in the Fort Worth ISD. She also has worked in juvenile probation and for the Texas Youth Commission.

Cameron Hernholm, Dallas, is the new development director for Attitudes & Attire, a nonprofit agency that promotes personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency. She also worked in Atlanta, Ga., as campaign manager with Alexander Haas Martin & Partners, development director of the Center for Family Resources and head of development for Hillels of Georgia.
