Paul Rogers Harris ('56 M.A.), Dallas, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Greater North Dallas High School Alumni Association in September.

Horace Ray Dawson ('61 M.A.), San Angelo, was named Outstanding Retired Faculty member at Angelo State University in 2007. He served almost 40 years in the ASU physics department, helping guide its growth from a one-man faculty in 1966 and developing new courses and degree programs as its head from 1976 to 1998. In 2003, the Texas State University System Board of Regents named him Distinguished Professor of Physics Emeritus.

Seagal Wheatley, San Antonio, was one of 12 attorneys for Jackson Walker to be named San Antonio's "Best Lawyers" in the August issue of Scene in SA Monthly. He is listed in the category of business litigation.
