She was a 20-year member of the Friends of Monument Hill State Park and a member of the Dulcimer Players Group and the Hospital Auxiliary at St. Mark’s Medical Center. She also was a volunteer at the Second Chance Emporium. At North Texas, she was a member of Kappa Theta Pi and the Mary Ardens.
