Ruth Buchholz, 96, of Dallas, who made significant contributions to North Texas with her late husband Don Buchholz (’52), died Feb. 2, 2025. Ruth and Don donated numerous gifts for research, education and scholarships, and Ruth served on the UNT Foundation Board and as a member of the Campaign Steering Committee from 2011 to 2014. They led in the establishment of several key endowments, including the Don A. Buchholz Chair in Community College Education within the Bill J. Priest Center for Community College Education, the Dr. Mike Moses Endowment Chair in Educational Administration and the Donald A. Buchholz Doctoral Program in Educational Administration Scholarship.
